Why can chimney draught become unstable?

Chimney height, cross-section, outdoor conditions, flue-gas temperature and system resistance all affect natural draught. A system that appears adequate in one condition may become unstable in another. TIRACAMINO is designed to support draught mechanically from the top of the chimney.

High temperature is a primary selection criterion

The range is purpose-built for hot flue air and is suitable for continuous operation up to 200°C. A general-purpose roof fan should therefore not be assumed to be an equivalent chimney fan; temperature duty and mounting purpose must be considered together.

What do the radial impeller and speed control add?

A backward-curved, dynamically balanced, self-cleaning aluminium impeller supports chimney draught, while the supplied speed-control concept allows the system to be adjusted rather than operated only as simple on/off ventilation.

What should be checked?

Chimney geometry, transported-gas temperature, required draught assistance, operating duration and mounting conditions are the main inputs. A fireplace, stove and process flue should not automatically be treated as identical applications.
